The Pit, also referred to as a Front Ensemble, is a stationary percussive ensemble. Most students in the Pit play mallet type instruments such as a xylophone, marimba, or vibraphone. Other stationary instruments are also played such as a keyboard, synthesizer, and electric guitar.
The Pit Orchestra performs during the half-time shows at football games and with the Winter Percussion Ensemble.
