Dear Band Members and Band Parents,
Welcome to the Stamford High School 2017-2018 Band Program! We are excited to kick off another great year of music making. To our returning band members, we are thrilled to have you back! We hope you have another fun, rewarding year and we are looking to you to become role models for our new members. To our parents, we appreciate your past support and look forward to your continued involvement throughout the year. Your support is integral to the success of our program.
To our new band members, we are looking forward to meeting you soon! We hope to provide you with a rich, educational environment in which you will not only grow your musical skills, but also learn about discipline, commitment, budgeting your time, and working within a group setting. You will see that the band room is a fun place to hang out and has become a “home away from home” for many students.
The attached forms will answer many of your questions, explain our organizational procedures and establish a common ground of agreement. We ask that both parents and students read through and complete all the forms, and return them the first day of band camp.
